I was first introduced to the notion of Creative Visualisation twenty years ago. I bought a book at Heathrow airport looking for something to read on my way to meet my husband, who was working in Paris at the time. I was attracted to buy Shakti Gawain’s Book Creative visualization.
I have been following the principles in this gem of a book ever since, Gawain shows how to use your imagination to form vivid mental images regarding the future you desire.
Gawain succinctly explains that there are four stages in the process of creative visualisation. These stages begin with 1) setting a goal, followed by 2) forming a mental image of the desired outcome, 3 ) continually returning to that mental image, and then 4) adding positivity to that image.
To experience success with creative visualisation, it is beneficial to have an open mind, practice meditation, use relaxation techniques, aim to imagine the best that could happen, and focus on the process as a regular habit.
I have been teaching these principles for years. Guiding students throughout the process of the four principles.

The Definition of Creative Visualisation
Creative visualization is a specific way of using your imagination. It’s a cognitive process that usually consists of forming vivid mental images.
You can consciously change the images, which in turn can change your emotions about the subjects of the images. As you practice visualising the future you want, you may begin to create that future. The key elements are desire for change, exciting your subconscious to want that change and to believe that change is possible.
This technique can be used with the intent of creating physiological changes, such as emotional healing. It can also be used to manage anxiety and sadness, as well as improve self-confidence and change your perspective on perceived negativity
