Hello and thank you for landing on this page. First off let me ask you…. what is really happening when you feel anxious and overwhelmed and how do you think hypnotherapy and mindset coaching can help?

Do you ever find yourself putting on that mask, that everything is hunky dory, while feeling completely overwhelmed inside? Those feelings you’re trying to hide. They’re completely normal, and by acknowledging them shows your vulnerability and that takes courage.

What’s Really Happening When We Feel Anxious?

You know that familiar racing heart, sweaty palms, and whirling thoughts? That’s your body’s natural alarm system kicking in. Think of it like your internal bodyguard – super helpful when there’s actual danger, but sometimes a bit too enthusiastic about protecting you from everyday stresses!

A Client Story You Might Relate To

I want to tell you about Caroline (and some of this will resonate). She’s just like many of us – juggling work, family, and life’s daily chaos. Between managing her HR job from home and office, plus three teenagers (and all that, that brings!), she found herself:

  • Lying awake at night, heart pounding
  • Playing the “what if” game with worst-case scenarios
  • Struggling to focus during the day
  • Having those moments where everything feels too much and she wants to run away with the dog
  • Slowly backing away from friends and colleagues

How Hypnotherapy Changed Things

Caroline booked in for a short course of Hypnotherapy. We tackled many of her overwhelm concerns. We came up with a plan to simplify her life and to tackle her fears.  Hypnotherapy isn’t about swinging watches or making you cluck like a chicken. Instead, it’s just like having a gentle conversation with your subconscious mind, teaching it new ways to stay calm, safe and back in control. Think of it as giving your mind a new set of tools to handle life’s challenges. Or a reset on your computer, wiping clear that unwanted computer virus.

Four Simple Ways to Start Feeling Better Today

Give yourself a mind reset:

  1. Please! Just Give the News a break at Bedtime: Seriously, when was the last time checking the news at 11 PM made you feel better? Pick one time during the day for updates, then let it be.
  2. The Power of “No”: I get it– saying no  can feel awful at first. But here’s a top tip: the world won’t end when you do, and you might just find yourself breathing easier and feeling lighter
  3. Worry Time: Instead of letting worries pop up like uninvited guests at 3 AM, give them a scheduled appointment during the day. It’s like telling them, “Not now, catch you at 4 PM!”
  4. Gratitude is Your Superpower: Before bed and first thing in the morning, take a moment to think of all the good things in your life. They don’t have to be huge – maybe your coffee was perfect this morning, or your dog made you laugh, you have a roof over your head. See it as a form of topping up your feel good bank account. Thinking positive thoughts, helps you to feel more confident and also releases feel good hormones serotonin.

A Final Note from Me to You

Remember this: reaching out for help isn’t just okay – it’s a sign that you’re taking charge of your wellbeing. We’re living in times where taking care of your mental health is just as important as hitting the gym or eating your 5 a day.

Feeling overwhelmed? That’s your cue to reach out to a qualified therapist. You deserve to feel better, and help is available when you’re ready.
